Why do I need a warranty?

Buying a used car from a private seller offers lots of advantages - it could be that you've found the car been searching for, you like the price, you don't like dealing with pushy sales people, the location is handy, or all of the above. 

But here's the big "but".  When you buy privately, there is no protection.  No Consumer Guarantees Act, no Fair Trading Act, no Motor Vehicle Trader Standards, no MTA to assist.  It is the Wild West of car buying and there are more than a few horror stories to put you off.

And if you're a tradie, or other business owner and your car has been purchased in your business name, did you know you don't get any Consumer Guarantees Act protection, even if you buy from a dealer?

Cover is available for most vehicles under 16 years old with less than 225,000kms on the clock.  When you are purchasing privately, it must undergo a Pre-Purchase Inspection.  We can organise that too!  Fill out our "Get Covered" form to check that cover is available for your vehicle and for a no-obligation quote.

How do I get covered?

Easy!  After you have received our quote and you want to purchase a Mechanical Warranty, contact us by phone or email and we will take you through the process.  Payment can be made by credit card or bank deposit on receipt of our invoice.

Our mechanical warranties are provided by Marac Insurance Limited and is underwritten by DPL Insurance Limited.
